Mindfulness to Calm an Anxious Mind
Of a review of 200 studies of mindfulness, researchers found mindfulness meditation was especially effective for reducing stress, anxiety and depression. In simple terms, mindfulness helps you create space around your worries so they don’t consume you.
Experience this for yourselves with our bespoke 30 minute mindfulness class, specifically created to help calm anxious thoughts. Lead by an experienced mindfulness teacher, you’ll be lead through a series of calming meditation practices and techniques to draw on during stressful times.
These meditations will incorporate gentle focused awareness practices, such as breathing techniques – which are often the cornerstone of a meditation practice. However, for some people who feel particularly anxious, they find it helpful to have something tangible to focus on when meditating. MINDFUL CHOCOLATE TASTING (BYO)
This is a virtual 30 minute session, created for Mental Health Awareness Week and based on participants providing their own ‘BYO’ chocolate. Click here if you’re interested in our 60 minute version of this workshop, with hand-made chocolate packs delivered to participants prior.
Using the principles of mindful eating and professional chocolate tasting, you’ll (mindfully) taste a few pieces of delicious chocolates, recommended by our chocolatier ahead of the session. Chocolate is an exciting and evocative ingredient, with even more flavour complexity than red wine, making it the perfect ingredient for a sensory experience.
Along the way, you’ll learn about the potent power of chocolate and the ancient practice of mindful eating – and why it’s so important in our busy modern world.
