Stress Management Workshop: What you need to know:
Practical Tools to Manage Pressure and Reduce Overwhelm at Work
Stress has become the default state of modern work. Competing priorities, constant digital communication and blurred boundaries between work and home mean many employees feel under pressure for long stretches — without realising how much it’s affecting their focus, energy and decision-making.
Our Stress Management Workshop helps individuals understand how stress works in the body and mind, and equips them with practical strategies to manage pressure more effectively. Rather than telling people to “cope better”, this session focuses on building awareness, practical skills, and healthier ways of working that support both wellbeing and productivity.
Participants leave with simple techniques they can use immediately to reduce overwhelm, regain clarity, and protect their energy through demanding periods at work.
60 minutes. Led by an executive coach with 20+ years of corporate experience. In-person UK or virtual worldwide.
What participants will learn:
This workshop explores practical ways to manage stress and maintain wellbeing at work. Participants will learn:
- How stress affects the brain and body — the physiology, not just the feeling.
- The early warning signs of stress and overwhelm — in themselves and in colleagues.
- Practical techniques for regulating stress in the moment — usable at the desk, between meetings, mid-deadline.
- How to manage workload and priorities more effectively — frameworks for what to do when everything feels urgent.
- Strategies to improve focus and reduce mental clutter
- Habits that support recovery and resilience outside work — because sustainable performance starts when the laptop closes.
The session blends psychological insight with practical tools your team can apply straight away.

Stress Management Workshop outcomes
After the session, participants typically feel:
- More aware of their personal stress triggers and how stress shows up for them
- Better equipped to manage pressure during the working day
- More confident setting boundaries around workload and focus
- Clearer on how to support their own wellbeing at work
The goal isn’t eliminating stress entirely — that’s not realistic, and not always desirable. It’s helping people respond to stress in healthier and more sustainable ways.

When this workshop is the right fit:
- Stress Awareness Month is approaching (April). This is the most-booked workshop for Stress Awareness Month — read our full guide to running Stress Awareness Month for ideas.
- Your team is in a sustained high-pressure stretch. Workload has been heavy for months, not weeks. People are coping but visibly under strain.
- You’re seeing the early signs. Increased irritability, dropped balls, missed details, complaints about workload. You want to act before it tips into burnout. Bear in mind – 71% of Gen Z and 63% of millennials have needed time off for stress — but only 41% and 35% actually took it. 21% of Gen Z gave their employer a different reason. (Deloitte 2026)
- You have plans for a wellbeing campaign or awareness week. This works well as a centrepiece session for Stress Awareness Month, Mental Health Awareness Week, or a quarterly wellbeing day.
How this workshop pairs with others
Stress management is the in-the-moment companion to several other workshops:
- Pair with Resilience at Work — stress management gives the immediate tools; resilience builds the long-term capability. The natural pairing.
- Book alongside Employee Burnout Workshop for teams already past the stress threshold and into burnout territory. Stress management as the daily practice, burnout as the recovery framework.
- Add the Sleep Workshop or Eating for Energy to address the physical foundations — stress is much easier to manage when sleep and fuel are working.
The most-booked configuration: Stress Management + Resilience + Burnout as a quarterly programme. Tell us your context on the discovery call and we’ll suggest a sequence.

Workplace Stress Workshop: FAQs
What’s the difference between this workshop and your Burnout or Resilience workshops?
Stress Management is about preventing chronic stress before it tips into burnout — daily habits, nervous system regulation, recognising stress patterns, building boundaries. Specifically, the Burnout Workshop is for teams already showing burnout signs and needing recovery tools, while Resilience focuses on bouncing back from setbacks. As a result, most clients book Stress Management proactively (often before a high-pressure period), Burnout reactively (when signs are visible), and Resilience for cohorts going into uncertainty.
When should we book this for Stress Awareness Month?
Stress Awareness Month is in April, and slots fill 6-8 weeks ahead. Therefore, the best window for booking is February to mid-March. Specifically, the most popular delivery dates are mid-April (around Stress Awareness Day on 4 April), but the whole month works. Furthermore, many clients book the workshop as part of a year-round wellbeing programme rather than a one-off April session — get in touch and we’ll scope what fits your calendar.
What does each participant take away?
Every participant leaves with a one-page personal action plan — specifically, their own stress signals identified, their healthy coping strategies named, and a written commitment to one habit shift they’ll make that week. Furthermore, the workshop ends with a pulse survey so you can measure shift in confidence and intent to apply. As a result, the session lands as practical and measurable rather than abstract.
Can the workshop be delivered virtually or only in-person?
Both. We deliver live in-person across the UK and virtually to global teams — same workshop, same outcomes. Specifically, virtual delivery is available globally for distributed teams in North America, Europe, the Middle East and APAC. As a result, multi-region teams can run the session twice in different time zones rather than asking everyone to attend one slot.
What does it cost?
Pricing depends on group size, format and any tailoring. Multi-workshop bookings (e.g., pairing Stress Management with Resilience or Burnout) are priced more favourably than one-offs. Book a discovery call and we’ll send a clear quote within 48 hours.
