A practical, CBT-informed Mental Health workshop for the Workplace
Awareness matters, but on its own, it rarely leads to real change. This session helps people move beyond awareness into small, meaningful action — supporting mental health not just individually, but in how we work, interact and show up every day.
A practical approach to mental health at work
Mental health at work isn’t just about how we feel — it’s shaped by:
- How we respond under pressure
- How we support each other
- And the environment we work within
This creates a more complete and realistic understanding of mental health at work, beyond awareness alone.
What the session covers:
Move Your Mind explores how mental health improves through action at three levels:
1. Action for yourself: How we respond under pressure. Participants learn how thoughts, feelings and behaviours interact, and simple ways to shift patterns like overthinking, avoidance or self-criticism.
2. Action for others: How we support each other at work. This includes practical ways to check in, listen and create a greater sense of psychological safety in everyday interactions.
3. Action for the workplace: How our environment shapes mental health. Participants reflect on the impact of workload, expectations, culture and leadership behaviour — and how small changes can make a difference.
Throughout the session, the focus is on small, realistic actions that can be applied immediately.

Why this works in the workplace
Move Your Mind is designed specifically for organisational settings. It is evidence-informed and preventative in approach, focusing on practical mental health skills rather than crisis support or clinical intervention. The session is accessible for all roles and does not involve therapy, diagnosis or personal disclosure, making it safe, inclusive and appropriate for workplace delivery.
It works equally well for employees, managers and leadership teams, and can be delivered effectively across hybrid and global workforces.

Part of a wider Mental Health Awareness Week programme
Move Your Mind is the flagship session within Stretching the City’s Mental Health Awareness Week 2026 programme, which is built around the theme Action, set by Mental Health Foundation.
The national theme focuses on moving beyond awareness and towards meaningful action for mental health, at an individual, organisational and societal level.
Move Your Mind directly reflects this theme by helping people translate insight into everyday behavioural change.
