Positive Psychology for the Working Day

In today’s workplace, happiness isn’t a nice-to-have — it’s a resilience tool, an engagement driver, and a performance booster. Research consistently shows that happy employees are 31% more productive, 2.5x more creative and even have lower absence rates.

But this isn’t a workshop about forced cheer or “good vibes only” culture. The Happiness Workshop is grounded in positive psychology and behavioural science. It equips teams with evidence-based strategies to cultivate positivity, sustain wellbeing, and thrive — not just survive — at work.

60 minutes. Practical. Led by a transformational coach and workplace mental health trainer. In-person across the UK or virtual for global teams.

What this Happiness Workshop covers

  • The Science of Happiness — what positive psychology actually shows us about workplace wellbeing, and how to apply it inside a real working day
  • Habits of flourishing employees — the small daily practices that build big impact over weeks and months
  • Positive focus loops — how to design feedback, progress and recognition into your team culture so it sustains itself
  • Micro-moment interventions — quick, real-world actions participants can use immediately
  • Sustaining joy — how to maintain momentum in busy or high-pressure environments without the cynicism creeping in

📅 Date for your diaries: Blue Monday is 18 January 2027. See our blog for ways to mark Blue Monday at your workplace.

What clients say

Workplace_wellbeing_SailGP

The happiness workshop was very engaging. It was great to focus on the positives rather than the negatives! The interactive Slido questions kept people engaged and gave people a chance to reflect, which I really enjoyed.

The trainer had such great enthusiasm, energy and really provided a really engaging session.

wpa

The content, enthusiasm and presentation were exceptional.

How this workshop pairs with others

The Happiness Workshop is the natural completion of a proactive wellbeing programme:

  • Pair with the Mental Fitness Hour for the full proactive mental wellbeing arc — Mental Fitness (foundations) → Happiness (flourishing).
  • Pair with Resilience at Work — adaptive capability under pressure, sustained by positive psychology habits.
  • Pair with Eating for Energy or Sleep Workshop — physical foundations of sustained positive mood and energy.

A classic Mental Health Awareness Week sequence: Mental Fitness Hour (Monday) → Stress Management or Burnout (mid-week) → Happiness Workshop (Friday). Tell us your context on the discovery call.

Happiness Workshop FAQs:

Is this just a “forced cheer” workshop?

No — and it’s specifically designed to avoid that. The content is grounded in positive psychology research (Seligman, Fredrickson, Lyubomirsky and others), and treats happiness as energy, purpose, and momentum — not a permanent emotional state.

Will this work for a team that’s currently demoralised?

This is exactly the audience the workshop is built for. We’re careful to acknowledge where the team is, then move into what can be built — without pretending the difficulty isn’t real.

Is it suitable for senior leadership?

Yes — and senior teams often book it as their own development first, then for the wider workforce. We adjust content for seniority.

Can we book this for Blue Monday?

Yes — Blue Monday (19 January 2026) is our busiest day for this workshop. Book early. We can also tie it into a fuller January wellbeing programme.

Can it be tailored to our context?

Yes. We adapt examples and framing to your sector and team context.

Do you deliver to international teams?

Yes. Virtual delivery works across North America, Europe, the Middle East and APAC.

What does it cost?

Tailored pricing based on duration, format and whether you’re booking standalone or as part of a programme. Multi-workshop bookings are priced more favourably. Book a discovery call and we’ll send a quote within 48 hours.
