The Race for Inclusion
“I can’t breathe”. This was said by George Floyd over 20 times before he died in May 2020 at the hands of the police.
Although the killing of George Floyd and the Black Lives Matter protests have brought a sharp focus on the extent of racial disparity across all walks of society, the importance of racial inclusion is not a new subject to most.
Our Race for Inclusion workshop is designed to help you understand the concept of race, how it relates to society and the workplace, and how even the little actions we can all take can make the greatest difference.
Led from a place of openness, empathy, and understanding; we invite you to go on this journey in a safe space and free of judgement.
This 60 minute workshop, lead by a professional Head of DEI will cover:
- What is race? Definitions and differences between race, ethnicity, and nationality
- Racism and racial discrimination: Exploration of the different kinds of racism and how they manifest today
- Exploring privilege
- Not racist Vs anti-racist: what’s the difference?
- Self-agency and race fluency: when and how to stand up and speak
