Managing Stress Through Nutrition & Lifestyle Workshop: What you need to know:
Building Resilience from the Inside Out
Businesses invest in resilience — backing up data, creating contingency plans, preparing for uncertainty. But what about personal resilience? How do we, as individuals, build resilience to navigate stress, pressure and change?
Resilience is often misunderstood as simply “bouncing back.” In reality, it’s a skill we can develop — through self-awareness, stress management, and crucially, the nutrition and lifestyle choices that support both our mental and physical wellbeing.
With 34% of UK adults experiencing high stress levels “always” or “often” (Mental Health UK Burnout Report 2025), addressing stress in the workplace isn’t a luxury — it’s a necessity. Chronic stress doesn’t just affect mental health: It impacts energy, focus, immunity and long-term performance.
This 60-minute workshop, led by a Harley Street BANT-registered nutritional therapist, provides practical, science-backed tools to help individuals and teams not only manage stress but thrive in the face of it — starting with the food, nutrients and lifestyle factors most stress workshops never address.
What this Managing Stress Through Nutrition Workshop covers:
- Defining Resilience: Moving beyond the “bounce back” myth to understand resilience as a trainable skill.
- The Science of Stress: How acute vs. chronic stress impacts the brain, gut, immune system, and overall wellbeing.
- When Stress is Good: Understanding positive stress (hormetic stress & eustress) and how we can use it to our advantage.
- Nutrition for Resilience: The foods, nutrients, and gut health strategies that support a healthy stress response.
- Building a Stress Solutions Plan: 8 evidence-based strategies to create a personalised approach to stress, covering:
- Planning for stress like a project
- Breathwork techniques (including 4-7-8 breathing)
- The real impact of caffeine and alcohol
- Nutrients that support cortisol regulation
- Gut health’s role in stress management
- Environmental and lifestyle tweaks for long-term resilience

When this workshop is the right fit:
- Stress Awareness Month (April) — peak booking moment for stress content
- Your team has done the “stress management workshop” but the patterns aren’t shifting — often because nutrition and lifestyle aren’t being addressed
- You’re building a sustainable performance programme — nutrition is the foundation underneath everything else
- High-pressure cultures (law firms, finance, professional services) — where coffee and alcohol patterns quietly drive the stress cycle

What clients say
How this workshop pairs with others
This workshop sits at the intersection of nutrition and stress management. Strong pairings beyond nutrition:
- Pair with Stress Management Workshop: The cognitive and behavioural pair — Managing Stress Through Nutrition gives the physiological foundation; Stress Management gives the in-the-moment tools. Often booked together as a complete stress response.
- Pair with Employee Burnout Workshop: Nutrition is foundational to burnout recovery — often the missing piece in burnout programmes that focus only on workload.
- Pair with Sleep School: Stress disrupts sleep; nutrition affects both. The trio (Stress + Nutrition + Sleep) is one of the strongest sustainable performance programmes.
- Pair with Resilience at Work: Resilience builds the cognitive capability; this workshop gives the physical foundation underneath it.

Stress X Nutrition Workshop FAQs
How is this different from your Stress Management Workshop?
Stress Management focuses on cognitive and behavioural tools — how to recognise stress, regulate the response, manage workload. This workshop focuses on the physiological foundation — what you eat and drink, the nutrients that affect cortisol regulation, the gut-brain axis in stress, and lifestyle factors most stress workshops skip. The two pair naturally and many clients book both.
Is this just “drink less coffee” advice?
No. We cover caffeine and alcohol honestly — including the real evidence on timing, quantity and individual sensitivity — but the bigger work is on cortisol-supporting nutrients, the gut-brain axis in stress, and the eight-strategy stress solutions plan.
Is the workshop appropriate during Stress Awareness Month?
Yes — and we particularly recommend it for SAM programming. Most SAM content covers the cognitive side of stress; nutrition is rarely addressed and lands as a genuinely fresh angle.
Can the workshop be tailored?
Yes. We adapt for sector, team context, and specific high-pressure periods (deal cycles, peak season, restructure).
What does it cost?
Tailored pricing based on duration, format and whether you’re booking standalone or as part of a programme. Multi-workshop bookings are priced more favourably. Book a discovery call and we’ll send a quote within 48 hours.
