Good Gut Health Workshop: What you need to know:
The Microbiome, the Gut-Brain Axis, and What Your Team Can Do About It
Our gut microbiome affects every organ in our body. A remarkable 70% of your entire immune system resides in your gut. 95% of your serotonin (the “happiness hormone”) and 50% of your dopamine are produced there.
Yet despite its huge effect on physical and mental health, many people struggle to achieve good gut health. 30-40% of the population has functional bowel problems at some point. 10-20% of the UK lives with IBS.
This 60-minute workshop, led by a Harley Street BANT-registered nutritional therapist, helps your team understand the microbiome, the gut-brain axis, and what they can do today — in food and in lifestyle — to support both.
What this Gut Health Workshop covers:
Led by a Harley Street nutritionist, this insightful 60-minute gut health workshop will cover:
- What is the gut, the microbiome and who are our friendly bacteria?

- Digestive dysfunction — what it could look like and common causes
- Probiotics vs prebiotics — the practical difference and how to use them

Workshop outcomes:
After the session, participants typically leave with:
- A clearer understanding of how their gut is influencing their mood, immunity, energy and focus
- Specific food strategies to support a healthier microbiome — without overhauling their diet
- Awareness of the lifestyle factors (stress, sleep, hydration) that affect gut health alongside food
- Confidence to navigate the conflicting gut health advice that dominates social media
When this workshop is the right fit:
- Mental Health Awareness Week (May) — the gut-brain axis is a powerful, often-overlooked angle for MHAW programming
- Nutrition & Hydration Week (March) — peak booking moment for nutrition content
- Your team is reporting low energy, mood dips, or digestive issues — these are often gut-related and rarely addressed at work
- You’re building a sustainable performance programme — gut health is foundational to focus, sleep, and resilience

What clients say
How this workshop pairs with others
Gut health sits at the intersection of nutrition, mental wellbeing and physical foundations. Strong pairings beyond nutrition:
- Pair with Good Mood Food: The natural nutrition pair — gut and mood are deeply linked.
- Pair with Sleep School: Sleep and gut health are mutually reinforcing — poor sleep disrupts the microbiome, poor gut health disrupts sleep.
- Pair with Stress Management Workshop: Stress is one of the biggest disruptors of gut function. Two angles on the same problem.
- Pair with Eating for Energy Workshop: General nutrition foundation that complements the gut-specific deep-dive.

Good Gut Health Nutrition workshop: FAQS
Is this workshop just about probiotics?
No. We cover the full picture — what the microbiome is, the gut-brain axis, probiotics vs prebiotics, lifestyle factors that affect gut health, and practical food strategies. The “buy more probiotics” framing is one piece of a much bigger picture.
Is it appropriate for teams that include people with IBS or digestive conditions?
Yes. The workshop is delivered with care and avoids prescriptive “should/shouldn’t eat” framing that could be triggering. For specific clinical conditions, we recommend pairing with our 1:1 nutrition consultations for individual support.
How is this different from Eating for Energy or Good Mood Food?
Eating for Energy focuses on stable energy and focus through the working day. Good Mood Food focuses on the food-mood connection. Gut Health zooms into the microbiome and gut-brain axis specifically — the foundational system underneath both. Many clients book all three as a complete nutrition programme.
Can the workshop be tailored to our context?
Yes. We adapt for sector and team context — hybrid teams, high-pressure cultures, shift workers, leadership cohorts.
What does it cost?
Tailored pricing based on duration, format and whether you’re booking standalone or as part of a programme. Multi-workshop bookings are priced more favourably. Book a discovery call and we’ll send a quote within 48 hours.
