Wellbeing for Carers

You are here: Home / Workplace Wellbeing / Finance, Family & Sustainability / Wellbeing for Carers

9% of people in the UK are providing unpaid care.

Unpaid carers are a lifeline to those they look after and are of huge benefit to society as a whole. A staggering 7 million of us in the UK are carers (although this is predicted to be as high as 10.6 million)

Whether caring full or part-time looking after your own needs and wellbeing is imperative when you have caring responsibilities. It’s all too easy to become exhausted and risk burn-out when juggling work, life and caring responsibilities. Sustaining your own wellbeing is fundamental to ensuring you can continue to be of support to others.

In ‘Wellbeing for Carers’, this engaging and interactive workshop will help equip you with the tools and resilience to navigate through the challenging times of caring. And most importantly, build your capacity to flourish and be the best you can for yourself and those you care for. This 60 minute session will cover:

  • Maintaining Healthy Boundaries
  • Harnessing Strengths
  • Prioritising Positivity
  • Empathy vs Compassion
  • The 5 Ways to Wellbeing

The human story of the coach having family members as carers made me feel a lot more engaged and connected to his examples. I have been to a lot of these sessions and it was really well delivered in terms of messages, the content was spot on and not too heavy and it kept a remote group very engaged.

When you’re caring for someone or others, you don’t always have time out to evaluate how you’re feeling. This workshop gave me time and helped focus my mind.
