Creating a workplace wellbeing programme shouldn’t mean shying away from the ‘heavier’ topics.
Whilst it may feel easier to discuss the likes of sleep, nutrition or Pilates, a truly holistic wellbeing programme embraces the difficult topics, such as grief, loss and suicide, too.
So, we wanted to put a few of these workshops on your radar. You may find they support a colleague who’s personally suffering, or help others who simply don’t know what to say.

The Grief Workshop
Each and every one of us will be affected by grief at some point. Yet, despite being a universal experience, grief is missing from most workplace wellbeing programmes. When not discussed openly, grief can still feel deeply isolating.
Learn how to validate and normalise the spectrum of emotions that occur when someone experiences any form of bereavement.
📆 National Grief Awareness Day is 30 August 2023.

Suicide Prevention in the Workplace: A Conversation
115 people die by suicide in the UK every week – with 75% of those deaths being male (ONS)
In this talk, we share the story of 39 year old James who died by suicide in November 2019. James’ friend, Andy (a mindfulness and wellness coach) interviews James’ brother, Will (a professional in the construction industry) for a candid conversation about suicide support and prevention.
Here’s what the Events Director at Amazon had to say about this talk:
“”It was a real privilege to host a talk on such a sensitive and taboo subject. We have never run a session with so many questions from the audience!”
📆 World Suicide Prevention Day is 10 September 2023
