Cultivating a Growth Mindset in times of Change
As popularised by Carol Dweck, and subsequently supported by extensive research, the concept of Growth Mindset has been shown to be fundamental in cultivating excellence, resilience and leadership development. From businesses to sports teams around the world, this one skill has been identified as a key determinant of both success and resilience.
In this workshop, we will explore the notion of fixed vs growth mindset, to understand why we think we can improve in some areas of life but others we are happy to resign ourselves to the act that we are not ‘that type of person’ in others. By exploring our blind spots and understanding the neuroscience of change, we start to see that we can rewire our brain to optimise performance, stimulate learning and be more adaptable, collaborative team players. We find that in doing so, every experience, failure and success, becomes an opportunity to grow stronger.
We suggest delivering two versions of this workshop:
Session 1: For all individuals up to mid-management level
The focus will be on identifying your blind spots, seeing how this impacts your work, thinking, behaviour and relationships. You’ll learn how to move towards a growth mindset and how you can help others do the same.
Session 2: For leaders and managers
This session will cover the content as above, but will then look in detail at how to cultivate a growth mindset amongst your team. Tools and techniques shared will be linked to strengths-based conversations, company culture, celebrating mistakes and vulnerability.
How it works:
- Duration: This workshop is available as a 60 minute or 90 minute format. If possible, we would recommend the 90 minute version, particularly for the managers.
- Capacity: Up to 100 people virtually
- Workshop leader: A positive psychologist, mindfulness trainer, wellbeing consultant and coach.
- Logistics: You’ll be sent an exclusive link to the workshop, which will be streamed via Zoom.
- Available: Worldwide.
