Be it menopause, maternity leave, imposter syndrome or the gender pay-gap, women have a lot to contend with as they climb the corporate ladder. At 71%, the female employment rate is the highest it’s ever been, with women in the workplace spanning multiple generations, working later in their lives than ever before. The number of working mothers in the UK has also surged in recent years, leading to an influx of women juggling families and careers. Sadly the gender pay gap tends to penalise rather than celebrate this feat, with reports finding women get a 4% pay cut for each child they have, compared to men who get a 6% pay increase on average. Amongst calls for mandatory ‘menstrual leave’ and ‘menopause policies’, companies need to acknowledge and embrace the vital part women play in the workplace. See our workshops below to get you started. You may wish to run some workshops around International Women’s Day on 8 March 2021 or World Menopause Day on 18 October 2021.
Oh, and we know being a man isn’t a walk in the park either. Take a look at our ‘Men’s Mental Health Matters’ workshop here.
