With so much happening right now, navigating lockdown 2.0 in the UK and the rollercoaster of the election results in recent weeks, we didn’t want to forget the importance of Movember this month, including International Men’s Day on 19 November.
The Movember movement dedicates the month of November to changing the face of men’s health, focusing on:
👳🏻 Mental Health and suicide prevention
🙅🏽♂️ Prostate cancer
👨🏻💻 Testicular cancer
Globally, on average, one man dies by suicide every minute of every day. What’s more, a recent YouGov poll found since the first lockdown in March, 38% of men have noticed a negative effect on their mental health and 20% feel vulnerable talking about their mental health.
Whether you’re supporting the Movember cause in your workplace, or want to shine a spotlight on men’s mental health any month of the year, you can see our workshops and inspirational talks below.
Men’s Mental Health Matters (Workshop / Webinar)
In this 60 minute session, lead by a male mental health campaigner and certified coach (who will share his own mental health story throughout the workshop), we aim to tackle the taboo of men suffering in silence and make it our mission to get more men talking about mental health.
