Stretching the City is a workplace wellbeing partner supporting organisations to take a more strategic, joined-up approach to wellbeing.
We work with organisations across sectors to design and deliver wellbeing programmes that support performance, inclusion and retention — moving beyond one-off activity to create more consistent, sustainable impact.
Our story
Stretching the City was founded with a simple belief: wellbeing at work should be practical, evidence-based and relevant to the realities of modern organisations.
Founded and led by sisters Sally Lovett and Katy Chambers, the organisation has grown through a shared professional partnership grounded in clear standards, long-term thinking and accountability. This continuity has shaped how we work with organisations — prioritising trust, consistency and relationships over short-term delivery.
Over time, our work has evolved. What began as delivering individual wellbeing sessions has grown into partnering with organisations on more structured, programme-led approaches — supporting leaders, managers and teams to embed healthier ways of working over the long term.
Today, we support organisations of different sizes and stages, delivering work across the UK and internationally.
How we work today
Most organisations come to us asking for support with a specific issue — a workshop, awareness day or training need.
In practice, these interventions are most effective when they sit within a wider wellbeing strategy. That’s why our work now focuses on helping organisations think more intentionally about wellbeing — aligning activity with organisational priorities, leadership capability and day-to-day ways of working.
Our role is to bring structure, clarity and experience — and to recommend what will have the most impact in each context.
